Bar Careers

The Bar Careers Team of the UCL Law Society aims to increase access to life at the Bar, and help aspiring barristers develop their advocacy and networking skills.

Through our events, we are keen to create candid spaces for conversations and discussions with Barristers and members of the Bar so as to raise awareness make the process far more approachable. We run a range of formal panels alongside casual networking sessions with Barristers, Clerks and Staff at Chambers. The Bar Careers subcommittee also regularly organises visits to the Inns and Chambers so as to provide its students with unique and insightful networking opportunities.

Our Applications guide, the first of its kind, shall guide students through the process from mini-pupilages to the BPC and beyond.

The Advocacy Club, an important facet of the Bar Careers subcommittee, is collectively run by the Bar Careers Secretary, the Senior & Junior Mooting Officers to provide students with a platform to test and sharpen their skill-set in a non-competitive and constructive setting.

We are eager to help harness your potential as a future barrister and guide and develop your development as an advocate!
